1
Decide which aquarium size is fit for your fish.
You might want to research this online. Depending upon that, plan your
fish tank size. If you have many fish then consider making a large
aquarium but if you only have few then you can make small.
2
Work out what size of materials you will need. After you've decided the size, go to your local store to order the glass. Give them the measurements of your tank.
3
Put the glass together. You'll have 5 pieces of glass for making aquarium. Put them all together to form a rectangle shape box.
4
Join all 5 sheets of glass with the help of aquarium-safe solvent cement and silicone cream.
Be careful while joining glasses as they might cut you so put on hard
cloth gloves. You may need a friend to help you hold it together as you
do this.
5
Seal the aquarium inner and outer edges carefully and slowly with solvent cement. Concentrate on it and don't leave it in the middle.
6
Let it dry for 5-6 hours. Don't re-seal even if you've left some gaps.
7
Check whether the aquarium is leak proof or not by adding some water to it. If it has any then you'll have to apply the solvent cement again where there is a leak.
8
Decorate it, if desired. Stick a nice picture on the backward glass and put some different shaped stones and other things in as you wish.
9
Now, finally, you can keep your fish into the aquarium and enjoy watching them live in your new aquarium.
